I worked with Paul to develop a web enabled database for sharing data for cancer patients between the various hospitals they receive treatment in. Data sharing in the NHS is relatively problematic and we developed a system to share patient level information for clinicians to be able to treat their patients more effectively with all the relevant information available in a secure web environment. I worked closely with Paul to share my clinical knowledge of cancer data with his technical skills to develop the system. He learnt the complex subject area quickly and worked closely with existing NHS IT professionals to link their systems together with our application.
